Through a combination of scientific and community activity, our environment is increasingly registered documented as data. Given the expanding breadth this digital domain, it crucial that scholars consider problems presents well its affirmative potential. This article, arising from collaboration between practitioner theorist in design film screen scholar with expertise documentary environmental studies, critically examines biodiversity data through an ecocritical reading public-facing databases, citizen science platforms visualizations.
